Preparing for Dressing

At work one of my tasks is collecting the mail from the post office box. The local post office happens to be directly opposite a cheap fabric shop. Some days I coordinate the mail pickup with my lunchbreak. Today was one of those days.

On the left, a cream ground with leafy swirly bits in navy, coral and tan. Possibly some cotton content. $4 a metre.

On the right, a pale blue ground with a yellow, coral and brown floral-ish print. Interesting slub texture. $3 a metre.

The question is, which dress to make from which fabric? Speak your brains!

I loving dress D but I think the left-hand fabric in dress B with coordinating pockets.

I wish I worked near a discount fabric store.... although that would mean I lived near it, which is very dangerous ;)

I like view B with the pictured on the right fabric.

But more to the point - what I really want to know is - where the discount fabric store is.

Spill!

I like view B (but also love the neckline of view C). And I think I'd use the cream fabric to make it and I'd be tempted to use a contrasting fabric for the pockets (although not with my hips)!
